Moroccan Rhassoul Clay Masque

The beauty of the earth has no bounds. Rhassoul clay, also known as Moroccan Lava Clay, has been used for centuries to improve the skin and hair in many different ways. It comes from the Atlas mountains of Morocco. It is formed as a result of natural geothermal processes and volcanic activity.

The clay contains silicon, Magnesium, iron, sodium, potassium, lithium, and trace elements, which are all essential elements to maintain healthy skin and hair. After it is mined it is cleaned and laid out in the sun to dry and then ground into a fine powder. When first mined, the clay looks as a polished brown and soap-like clay but on further refinement it becomes smooth almost like silken earth.

According to findings from various studies Moroccan Rhassoul Clay lessens dryness, enhances skin clarity and elasticity and has extractive abilities (Removes surface oil and oil from inside and around clogged hair follicles ) that confiscate impurities and unblock pores, even stubborn blackheads resulting in a general smoothing of the surface skin. As a hair treatment, Red Moroccan Clay cleanses the hair, removing impurities, and leaves hair bouncy and voluminous.

According to Amaloils.com, Clinical studies have shown that a single use of Moroccan Rhassoul:
  • Improves skin texture (106%)
  • Reduces dryness (79%)
  • Reduces flakiness (41%)
  • Improves skin elasticity / firmness (24%)
  • Improves skin clarity (68%)
Get your Rhassoul Clay today from Purely Beautiful Body and Hair. Just click the link on the right side and order.

Chocolatey Creamy CoCoa Butter

Have you ever smelled unrefined cold pressed cocoa butter?

The chocolaty, creamy, intoxicating scent is more than enough to make it you fall for its essence.  But a beautiful scent isn't all Cocoa butter has to offer, it has many health benefits as well.

Cocoa butter comes from the cacao bean which is located inside the pod that grows on the cacao tree. The tree contains large fruits that hold up to 30 to 40 cocoa seeds. These seeds are also where our delicious chocolate comes from. So the next time you buy unrefined cold pressed cocoa butter, smell it, it'll smell just like a chocolate bar, well a good quality chocolate bar. You can even taste it, but if you do don't be surprised by it's creamy chocolaty taste.

To produce the actual cocoa butter the seeds are fermented in bananas leaves, dried then roasted and pressed. This releases the vegetable fat, which is what we know as cocoa butter.

All beans don't have to be roasted though, and some are cold pressed. When the cocoa butter is cold pressed, it releases the cocoa butter while retaining the antioxidants that are great for the skin and hair. When the using the cold pressing process only the heat from the friction of pressing the beans is used. This heat does not strip the beans of any vital nutrients.

Because cocoa butter is the fatty acid from the bean, and has many nutrients, it works wonders on dry skin. It is able to penetrate the top layers of the skin and nourish the skin from the inside out.You can also use cocoa butter cream for your hair it penetrates deep into the scalp, healing dandruff and many other scalp and hair ailments.

We all know about those horrible free radicals that are released in our body because of the exposure to pollutants like car fumes, pesticides and tobacco smoke. These free radicals destroy cells, making you age faster. This process is called oxidation. That's where all those unwanted wrinkles come from.

Fortunately, cocoa butter is loaded with antioxidants, which literally stop the oxidation process in its tracks by killing the free radicals.  Cocoa butter is even known to have a higher content of antioxidants than well know superfoods like blueberries and acai!

Though there are no guarantees when it comes to stretch marks, pregnant women have sworn by cocoa butter for years to prevent those nasty little strips. Antioxidants and the nourishing power keep the skin elastic, so the skin can grow easily. Cocoa butter is also good for skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, dermatitis and many skin irritations.

So where do you buy this awesome cream? Well first lets talk about a very important matter, should you buy refined or unrefined?

Refined cocoa butter is what is left over after the cocoa butter has been processed. This method strips away all the goodies the cocoa butter had before, even the scent and its natural yellow beige color. Many cosmetic companies use this type of cocoa butter because it is easier to work with, and works well in recipes. They just add fragrance and colour later. Can you say gross?!?

As mentioned earlier unrefined cocoa butter is cold pressed, allowing it to retain all of it vital nutrients, so please don't waste your money on cocoa butter that is not up to your high standards!

Purely Beautiful Butter CoCo, only contains unrefined Organic coco butter, and has many other great organic ingredients like shea butter and coconut oil, all which nourish your skin and hair!

Just click the paypal link on the right side and select the size you want! What to add essential oils to your butter? Well I make every butter to order so just leave a message stating what you would like.

Happy Nourishing!!

Awesome Almond Oil

Almond oil comes from dried almonds that have been cold pressed. The qualities that make Almond oil so awesome is that it has vitamin E, which is awesome for skin and hair, along with vitamins A and D. It also has a great amount of oleic and linoleic acids. Because the oil has such a high concentration in vitamins and acids it is mostly used for skin care, but can also be used as a medicinal for skin ailments.

Almond oil has many great qualities:

1. Moisturizing
2. Anti-inflammation
3. Emollient Properties
4. Removes Dark Circles
5. Reduces wrinkles
6. Protects you from the sun

Moisturization.
When applying almond oil to your skin while it is damp, the almonds have a way to trap the moisture inside your skin keeping it moisturized for an extensive amount of time. Because it is so lubricating many companies use it in there skin products, which keeps their customers very happy, and willing to return.

Anti-inflammation.
After many studies, Almond oil has been proved to have a calming effect to people that may have a skin inflammation, due to allergies or other causes.  It has also been proven to treat small wounds, chapped skin, like lips, heels or elbows as well as treat skin infections.

Emollient Properties.
Emollient refers to the ability of the Almond oil to get absorbed into the skin or hair. It can be used as a massage oil, since it is odorless and isn't greasy like other oils. It also helps in restoring a healthy PH, which cause the skin to emit a healthy glow, with the preserved moisture.

Removal of Dark Circles.
Almond oil has a natural ability to lighten the skin. This quality makes it perfect for the removal of dark areas on the skin, like under the eyes.

Reduction of Wrinkles.
Vitamins, like vitamin E, helps reduce wrinkles in the skin by keeping the skin protected and moisturized. It is best to apply the oil when skin is still damp, like right after you take a shower and in the evening before you go to sleep.

Sun Protection.
Everyday, no matter if we go to the beach or not our skin is exposed to the sun and it's damaging rays. This exposure causes skin wrinkles, aging, and skin cancer. Fortunately, by using almond oil on a regular basis, it can help reduce  and reverse the effects of this damage.

Almond Oil for the Hair:

One of the most beneficial qualities almond oil has for hair is sealant and protection. Almond oil has the natural ability to seal in moisture to the hair shaft, keeping it moisturized for an extended amount of time.

Saturated fats as well as mono saturated fats also give almond oil the ability to penetrate the hair shaft, moisturizing it from the inside out.

In addition to moisturizing the hair almond oil adds shine and elasticity to the hair, keeping strong while reducing breakage. Add to hair that is weak and dry, the oil will restore moisture and trap it inside the shaft.

There is nothing better than an all natural hair moisturizer, make sure you read the labels to all your hair products. Only get the pure and organic, no  chemicals for your beautifully natural hair!

Tea Tree Rocks in so Many Ways

Tea Tree rules when it comes to healing oils. It ranks as number two when it comes to antiseptic oil (right behind thyme), and is stronger than carbolic acid and safer. The essential oil is derived from the Melaleuca Alternifolia, and is widely used in household and personal toiletries along with cleansers and natural remedies.

The aroma is invigorating and smells resinous and slightly musty, blending well with cinnamon, clary sage, clover, cypress, eucalyptus, geranium, ginger, lavender, lemon, lemon grass, mandarin, marjoram, rosemary and thyme.

Tea Tree is often referred to first aid in a bottle. It is a treatment for abscesses, acne, athlete's foot, blisters, boils, burns and scalds that are minor. It also gives relief from ulcers, gingivitis, mouth ulcers, insect bites, diaper rash, ringworm and infected wounds.

It is also good for aromatherapy, making a wonderful addition to a massage oil, air sprays, baths, oil burners and gargles. It is also one of the few oils that are recommended to use in the vaginal area, relieving many different ailments.

For hair Tea Tree works many wonders. It can be used to relieve scalp conditions including cradle cap, prevents hair loss, treats lice, controls psoriasis and is very effective in eliminating dandruff, and itchy scalp. A few drops go a long way in a shampoo, or everyday styling cream.

Purely Beautiful Hair Care

Going natural was one one the most important decisions of my life. I loved the fact that I can wear my hair in so many different styles and be free from product chemicals.

Or so I thought.

There are so many products on the market, that claim to be natural, they claim to be organic, they make soooo many claims you would think that it would be easy to find something that would work for my hair.

I couldn't be more wrong.

Some products would weigh heavily on my hair and leave a weird residue, others would literally leave my hair looking and feeling "crispy". Other products say they are organic and all natural but when reading the ingredients they are everything but! After several months of trial and error I started making my own products.

I started using Shea Butter, for literally everything, this stuff works wonders on your skin and hair. I completely fell in love. Shea Butter is very thick and hard to spread on the hair, so I made a butter that would be easy to apply and use ingredients that would help the hair grow and reduce breakage all while keeping the scalp beautifully moisturized. The formula makes the hair soft and movable, (yes your hair will be blowing in the wind after that awesome twist out).

Being a person that cares about the welfare of our earth and the treatment of animals, I also wanted to make sure I knew where all the ingredients came from and I wanted to control the purity and freshness of every ingredient.

Therefore, Purely Beautiful was born.
This formula is creamy and light, but very moisturizing!
Tea Tree specializes in relieving dry and itchy scalp.
Lavender has a beautiful scent and promotes hair growth.
Cocoa helps stop breakage and split ends while, giving the hair a deliciously chocolaty scent.
You can choose from Original, Lavender Tea Tree
or Cocoa.
All the main base ingredients include:
Organic unrefined yellow Shea Butter
Organic unrefined Coconut Oil
Organic Essential Oils
and other organic awesome ingredients.

You can choose from four different sizes
2oz $7.00
4oz $14.00
6oz $17.00
